Ford Ranger Auto lights malfunction.

We had been on a holiday for our wedding anniversary and the car (Ford Ranger) didn’t start up the next morning, with no prior warning signs. The battery was also found to be non-standard for the Ford rangers double cabs. The battery was dead flat and needed to be replaced, with the correct size. It was discovered later that the cause for the drained battery during the anniversary vacation was a faulty automatic lights selector switch when I was informed by securities in my complex that my lights were on, hours after I had left the car. The selector was on automatic lights, but lights hadn’t switched off. I sent an email to Ford fury providing all details and the did not even respond. At the least they should have refunded me for the battery purchase.
