Bad service and attitude

I took my ford figo to FuryFord on William nichol at 09 :00 on the 27/10/2017 as it was booked in that morning. I was told the ignition is faulty and needs to be replaced as it was hard turning the key. The car was booked in by Anwa. I told him that I needed my car by 16:00 as I was driving to Durban. He said he will push for 16:00 or 16:30 the latest. My husband got there at 16:00 and my car was not ready. He was further advised by Anwa that it will take another 1 hour and 15 minutes!

He also told me that it will cost me R1900 to replace the ignition as it is damaged and it is my fault. He told me that I needed to pay for it and that it is my fault that its broken because I had my house key attacked to the car key. This same problem also happened to my ford fiesta which had no key attached to it. He said that because i had serviced my car 2000km late the warranty will not cover it.

I am so angry because he did not even have the decency of calling me by 15:00 to explain that the car will not be ready in time. They do not keep in touch with their clients.

This morning i took my car to Bosch in Weltevredenpark for a second opinion and the consultant asked me if i had tried the spare key? I said no and he advised me to try the spare key first before they replace anything. I went home, got the spare key and it worked!

Imagine Fury Ford wanted to replace the whole ignition and still charge me. Why couldn't they have also asked me to try the spare key? They seriously need to get Bosch technicians to work for Ford because it seems they have more experience and know more about Ford cars than Ford technicians!

I want to know what he was doing with the car from 09:00 to 16:30?

I have owned other cars and did not have this problem.

So if I was paying for them to fix it, he was not doing me a favour. I need to know why he wanted to charge me for something that was not broken in the furst place?????
