Very disorganised and unprofessional.

Horrible experience.

I have recently had an interview with the above mentioned company. The recruitment department conducted this interview (Chrislene and Naledi).

The first 5-9 minutes of the interview Chrislene asked twice to give her 5 minutes for her to follow up on another interviewer (Willene) to join. As candidates we just waited in the meeting room waiting to start. When it started it was more then 10 minutes from stipulated start time.

They did what was called a bulk interview which included 10-14 candidates for the position. It was extremely ghetto, unorganised and very unprofessional. Naledi wore a beanie to a formal interview and Chrislene chewed gum the entire interview. They were very disorganised, kept on saying “yeah” “next” when speaking and allowing the next person to go.

Instead of having a list of candidate names and going according to the list when questions were asked they kept on saying “who wants to go next”. Speaking over people who all just want to answer at the same time. Personally think they should have dictated who and when should answer to avoid multiple Candidates just speaking at once.

One of the questions asked was salary preference and as hr I feel that might have been too personal to ask on a platform as such. Some said 3K some said 7K. I believe they did not take into consideration how or what the next person would think or say regarding to this being said as openly. What if they felt like the amount they are saying might be to high or low compared someone else just because they want or need said internship.

When Naledi took over the interview she asked questions pertaining to the “student life” and her remark was if you want to speak you may or just type it out. Personally felt this was very unprofessional.

Naledi had mentioned multiple occasions to type instead of verbally answering which might result in a candidate becoming despondent.

Interview ran over allocated time. Implying there is no time management being adhered to. The allocated time was 11:00-12:00 and the interview ran till 12:47

I’m future I suggest conducting the interview with smaller groups of selected candidates. To have ample prep time and be more organised. Please acknowledge that within this industry time management is very important and they team had a total disregard of that.
