Poor customer service

I made an online purchase from Footgear on Cyber Monday for 2 pairs of shoes intended to be Christmas gifts. It has been more than 2 weeks since I placed the order, and I still have not received it. Despite this being largely the fault of the courier company, DPD Laser, who cannot be reached by any means, Footgear did not contact me to explain the current situation with the courier and the subsequent delays in deliveries. For this reason, I emailed to inquire about the whereabouts of my order and an expected delivery date - since the one provided by the courier company of 1 December has long since come and passed. I was assured by a Footgear employee that the matter had been escalated and that I would receive feedback soon. Almost 4 days have now passed, and I have not received any further information on my order. On top of this, the tracking information provided by Footgear has now been removed and my order number is supposedly "not found", while the tracking information on the DPD Laser website is completely inaccurate and exactly the same today as it was on 30 November ("your parcel is on its way to its next location").

I have since made a purchase from another business, as the chances of receiving my parcel before Christmas appear to be slim to none.

This is very disappointing service from an otherwise reputable business.
