Trgically short memory

I have regularly purchased Portuguese rolls from this shop because of the excellent quality. A few weeks again, I found that often, they had hot been baked when I went to the shop in the late morning, and on one occasion were in the oven but unready. My husband was going out later, so I asked him to purchase fresh rolls. He returned with a plastic bag of rolls of indeterminable type, obviously stale, but at full price. I took them back, pointed out to Philip,not only were they misrepresented as Portuguese , but stale rolls being sold at full price. He agreed that this was not permitted and this would be sorted out. For a couple of weeks all was well, until this morning, and there again were Portuguese rolls packed in bags and being sold at full price. Aware of the problem, I confirmed with the saleslady, that these were indeed yesterday's bake. She did offer to reduce the price after my complaint, which I refused! I find this practise, ********* and they should be labelled 'stale' so that the consumer can make an informed choice. I will not bother to visit that outlet in future, as all credibility, as far as all produce is concerned, has been lost.
