Shocking price spike in coffee pods from R34. 99 to R69. 99

I am a loyal customer of Food *****s in Long Beach Mall. I visit the store at least once a week, today I was shocked to find that they usual cattura coffee capsules I purchase regularly price has spiked from R34. 99 to R69. 99 in less than 2 weeks. The merchandiser took more than 15 min to get back ro me. Since I could not wait any longer for feedback, I proceeded to rhe till. He came running after me to advise the supplier charged them incorrectly henceforth the manager agreed to charge me R40 instead of R69. 99 for a box. I needed coffee so I bought it with much appreciation though as this pricing and the approach in resolving this issue was operationally disfunctional as the producr remain on the shelf at R69. 99. How is this poor customer experience allowed? Moreover, food *****s is robbing customers by spiking the price of thei cattura 12 coffee pods from R34. 99 to R69. 99. Please assist.
