Selling rotten food - customer service page not submitting complains
I bought 2x crushed garlic that was on promotion for R50 on the 20th of December 2024. As I was cooking on the 25th I opened one and it was slimy and very brown in colour. I thought to myself that I will take it back to the store but I was too busy to drive to Westgate and waste my petrol or money for transport. When I opened another tub 3 days ago it was the same as the first 1. Come to think of it I week or 2 before I visited the store my Mom bought a box of pineapples and the kids ate 1. 2 days later when I wanted to bake carrot cake I noticed the one I wanted to use that it was very soft and there were small flies and when I checked I saw that all of them were spoilt and discarded of them. The day when I went the first thing I noticed as I walked in were pallet displays of summer fruits, as I picked up a punnet of nectarines I noticed that the ones at the bottom were rotten and had mold, I called 1 of the guys and showed him and even assisted him in taking the other ones that were still displayed but I noticed that he was not surprised or shocked of what I found. The same with yellow cling and plums. I had to try and look for the good ones since my kids wanted some fruits and ended up buying a combo for R150. In short I honestly think that you guys need to take your jobs seriously because you can't continue selling us rotten staff. I wish I took a video of all the rotten things that were displayed. It was my first time setting my foot in that store and it is my last. Did I mention that the securities were also telling customers that they need to go pay because they want to knock off?
