Today I went to Food *****s Market in Vincent to buy lunch as I usually do. I was informed that the meal that I had previously purchased for R40 has now gone up to R45. I didn't have a problem with this until when the lady was done and asked me which meat would I like with my meal. I told her the quarter leg as I always have that. She informed me that we are now no longer allowed to have that meal with the quarter leg, instead she offered me 2 drumsticks. I was so confused and frustrated that I actually called the manager (VJ as he called himself) to come and explain how prices have gone up but portions were going down. He said to me the menu has changed or prices have gone up. SO he went to the Kitchen to enquire and came back telling me that the boss said they should do it like that because the prices of chicken have gone up. You have increased the price already for the chicken that has gone up yet now you are giving us less meat. That is totally unacceptable and taking advantage of customers!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!! *****ing from the very people who put money in your pockets!!!!
