Mouldy meats

I went in to the store to stock up for a short road trip. I got home and thought the biltong I had bought was giving off a strange smell. I thought it was my imagination so left it. The next morning when I left on my trip, the smell had got even worse and when I opened the bag I noticed mould on the meat everywhere and was forced to throw it away and go to a store that sells fresher produce. I'm very disappointed and disgusted! I hope no one else experiences the same thing!!
