Incorrect Pricing on item and manager refused to give me the item at the displayed price

This afternoon I went to shop at food *****s market in Nicolway as I normally do. I picked up a product and thought it was relatively cheap and I was excited to purchase it at the labeled price. When I got to the till the lady informed me that I cannot purchase it at that price and I advised her to call the manager. As I was awaiting the manager, another female manager informed the cashier that I was right and I will get this product at that price they just need to inform the manager of this.

The manager, Cornelius, then informed me that they made a mistake on the pricing "human error" and I cannot purchase it for the labelled price. If there is an error in the price, the supplier cannot insist that the consumer pay a higher price for the goods or services than the one they display.

Cornelius was not apologetic in this regard, and flat out told me I had to leave the item or pay the higher price that he had gone to print.
