Incorrect meat prices

I’m writing to raise a concern regarding a purchase I made at Food *****s Market Brackenfell store today. They had a R10 special on pork neck steak – R10 per 100g. I bought 1 packet that was priced R40 then after a while I went back and bought another packet for R80. Please keep in mind this was two different ladies that helped me behind the counter.

However, when I asked the cashier to weigh the meat at the till point because there is no grams shown on the packet that you buy. She looked at the packed first and told me while its on the scale that it is 800g. I then looked myself and the weight came to just over 700g, which is quite a bit less than expected as I have to pay the full amount for 800g. We then weigh the R40 packed that was just over 400g. Although my two packets that was packed for me from two different staff members at different times almost cancelled each other out. I was still not happy, because how many people walk out of that market with less than they have paid for. You think you buy a special, but they are so clever they don't show the weight on you meat packet. So please check what you purchase at Brackenfell Food *****s Market.

The lady at the till started rolling her eyes and they were talking in their language to each other that was quite rude and started laughing. Luckily I knew some of the language. She also actually **** to me when she first weigh the packet. I then asked for the manager. The till manager said I have to go back to butcher to sort this out. I was in the middle of my transaction at the till at that point. I told her I am the client you go call your manager, I will wait at the till. After only a while the butcher manager came and just told me the 2x packets cancelled each other out. That was actually not the case. I told him that is not the point that I wanted to make. They pack meat and put a price on but don't show the amount of grams they give you, because of the weight that is incorrect. How many people are being deceived like this.

I paid the items that I wanted. So the butcher manager and the till lady walked off with the meat packet. I waited 15min for them to come back and they never came back. I told the lady at the till next to her that I am leaving now and will phone the store with a complaint. I spoke to a lady that answered the phone in the office. She told me that the manager of the store will come back to me. I am still waiting on that call. They just don't care, no manager phoned me. I am still waiting. I will never go back to that store again. I will rather go to Kuilsriver, their staff have manners. Don't let Brackenfell fool you with their meat prices. Check your grams that you receive. The specials they don't put grams on their packets.
