Hats off to Mario at Food *****s Nicolway

A big bunch of roses for Mario, the manager at this store. They were running a promotion for cutlery recently and my husband and I diligently collected our stickers for our cards every time we spent R100 or more. We managed to fill one card (20 stickers, so not a small amount of spend], and chose our cutlery but decided we would like some more so started collecting stickers again. the closing date arrived, my husband went to the store to try to complete the card, we were 3 stickers short but didn't manage it and was told by the cashier that the card was now invalid. So he offered it to the lady running the tills to give to someone else. That day I heard that the FINAL closing of the promotion was in fact four days later! So we tried to locate the card, but of course it had been handed on. I went to the store, intending to return the one set of cutlery, which was no good to me, as we are two people, and was told to speak to Mario who, without hesitation had his floor manager hand me another set and apologised profusely that the cashiers had not been apprised of the situation. I expect someone was for the high jump after that, but thank you Mario, a no fuss handling of the situation and a happy customer, who will continue shopping there.
