Foodborne Illness, Hospitalisation & No Response From Food *****’s Market Waterfall Ridge

I am extremely disappointed with Food *****’s Market’s lack of response following a serious food safety incident. On 10 December 2025, my husband became severely ill after consuming food purchased from Waterfall Ridge Food *****’s Market store and was subsequently hospitalised. He was diagnosed with pancolitis with faecal leukocytes, indicating a serious gastrointestinal infection consistent with foodborne illness. We immediately reported the matter to the local store and submitted all requested documentation, including medical records, proof of purchase, and a full account of events. The store manager confirmed in writing that the matter was escalated to the claims department. Despite this: The formal complaint was submitted on 10 December 2025 Follow-ups were sent on 15 December 2025 As of 6 January 2026, we have received no written response, claim reference number, or update This incident resulted in hospitalisation, loss of income (no sick leave), additional expenses, and significant emotional distress for our family. We attempted to resolve this matter directly and amicably, but the continued silence has left us no choice but to escalate publicly.
