Food *****'s market Nkomo Village Atteridgeville

On the 9 April 2026 at around 17:05 my mother and I went to Food *****'s market in Atteridgeville in Nkomo village as we entered the store with a full grocery trolley from pick n pay stores we were approached by a female security who told us we are not allowed to enter the store with a trolley we must leave it by the parcel counter ,I then assumed I must leave my trolley with groceries inside the trolley and enter the store I even asked where is the ticket for the parcel counter I was told no we don't have one just enter the store as it is safe to do so.

As I was busy with my shopping something did not sit well with me I had to go back to the parcel counter by the door to double check my trolley to my shock my trolley was not there where I had left it ,I immediately went into panic the female security was also not aware where my trolley was at that point there was a gentleman wearing food *****s uniform uniform told me he had taken my trolley outside the store pointing to me where he had pushed it ,it was literally outside the store my concern was who was going to be liable of my goods should I loose them ,both the food *****'s staff and the female security brushed me off as if I do not exist shouting at me telling me that's how things are done at the store, I had to cut my shopping short to take my groceries to the car I was really HURT of the treatment I got at Food *****'s market.

Upon my return I continued with my shopping then requested to see the store manager as I felt aggrieved and disgruntled I was then approached by the lady by the name of Thenjiwe who I narrated my experience I told her I want the manager who was eventually called he introduced himself as Pastor he was not helpful at all he told me that's how the store is run cause customers ***** ,I always go food *****'s market in Haartebees and Ccastlegate I was never treated that way just because I choose to shop at a township it doesn't mean I should be treated like a thieve I am definitely sure that store has cctv footage to monitor such irregular activities unlike being treated with such disrepect.
