DISGUSTING GROUND BEEF
We saw their advert on TV for mince at a bargain price (R50.00 per kg) with only 5% soy. Being a pensioners who has to look after every cent, we bought 6 kg. However, when I cooked some of it, I was totally disgusted.
The claim of 5% soy may be true, but as for the other 95% I am not so sure. It is certainly not beef. This stuff, at best, is pets mince!
On top of it all, we bought this on a recommendation of the butchery manager, who claimed that he buys this himself. However, when my wife complained this morning, he tells her to be happy with what she bought because it is soy. They are completely misrepresenting the product.

25 Apr 2022, 08:31The manager at Cradlestone replaced the meat with what he called "better quality". I used some of it in a dish yesterday and I am still extremely disappointed. I would advise Food *****s Market to have this meat analysed at a laboratory. I am convinced there is somethign other than minced beef in it. Maybe you need to change supplier of the prepacked mince.
When being fried it does not smell like beef at all and the result is a gooey mess which I am not prepared to eat.
