Deceiving prices and overcharging

I'd like to bring to your attention an extremely disappointing service level experienced at the Malvern Food *****s. Looking to get some Fruits, I noticed the Clemontine (note the deliberate spelling error) was about R20/kg and decided to get a bag. After paying for it, I noticed that it was actually R50/kg. When I asked them to check the price, the board showing the price had both Clementines and Lemons on the same board. The attendant said the price was for the Lemons and the Clementines were R50/kg, which was not showing. This is extremely deceiving and purposely misleading the customers...that was the one incident. Checking my receipt, I noticed I paid 3x the amount for my gerkins. It didn't have a price on the shelf but the packer told me it was R7.99, yet the teller charged me R24.99. Had I not checked, you would have cheated me again for three times the amount! I complained to Santosh - the Manager but not even understanding the situation, he was quick to offer a refund assuming that would resolve the poor situation at Malvern Food *****s. I did not want a refund, I wanted him to sort the pricing issue that is evident in the store. He promptly walked away, leaving me with Pinky who was really no help. Very disappointing experience. You would think people would value their jobs more now after experiencing the job losses and wage cuts of late.
