Customers doesn't matter to them

On Sunday 4 March 2018 I went to Carreira's Fruit And Veg Market in Malibongwe Drive, Randburg to buy fruit and vegetables for the week. I have been a customer of Carreira's Fruit and Veg Market for the past 8 years and have been going there on a weekly basis. At the pay point I requested the lady assisting me if I could have an extra box wherein I could carry other goods that I was buying from them, although these goods such as peaches etc. were already in boxes. The only reason I asked for an additional box was because I live in a complex where I have to park very far from my unit and have to make several trips to and from my car once I get home from shopping. Having a bigger box wherein I could carry everything would make things easier. The lady was however very rude to me in the way she answered me and told me that “they don’t put boxes in boxes”. I asked to speak to someone else, and shortly thereafter a man whom I believe is either the owner or manager came to the pay point.. I also tried to explain to him why I needed an extra box and my dad who was with me even offered to pay for it, but this man had the same rude attitude towards me than his staff member. What upset me the most was when I told him that I come there every week, by saying to me “it doesn’t matter”. What was he trying to say to me: CUSTOMERS DOESN’T MATTER? So I walked out, and after 8 years will go and find another fruit and veg shop. One that looks after its customers. And all of this because of a box, which in all probability cost them nothing!
