Cashiers Work Environment

I was in Food *****s Market Menlyn this afternoon. The service is wonderful and the cashiers are professional. I was however very disappointed to see that the cashiers have to do all the work standing, yet most progressive supermarkets provide sitting arrangements for their cashiers, e.g., Checkers, Pick'Pay just next door. This is such a cruel way of treating employees. One cashier indicated, a labour personal has been trying to get them stools but management is refusing. This is unacceptable for Food *****s Market. Menlyn Mall management should expect better from all tenants using the mall.
