An Excellent Response to the Challenges of the Impending Lockdown
Visited Whale Coast Mall in Herm**** for pre-lockdown shopping, only to find Woolworths playing hard-to-get games with their customers who were queueing outside the door waiting to be admitted in small groups sized to suit Woolworths. Proceeded to Food *****'s Market, where I found masses of produce, well-stocked shelves and throngs of customers happily shopping. Most impressively, my impression was that ALL the 25 or so tills were manned, so I reached the front of the 30 metre queue in front of me in no time at all. Bravo, Food *****'s Market!

25 Mar 2020, 08:57And I should have added (before I'm criticised for being naïve!) that this store is plenty large enough to allow shoppers to avoid close contact with one another - and in the queue shoppers were separated by the length of their trolleys...
