Alleged theft

I am writing to express my concern and file a formal complaint against one of your cashiers, Bernita. On the 26 of February 2025, I visited your store Food *****'s Bothasig and made a purchase, which was assisted by Bernita.

On me I had R1700 before paying for my groceries. During the transaction, I handed over R1550 to Bernita because it showed R1600 on the screen before the discount amount, and the total amount due was R1479.44 after the discount. I did ask her to count the money because i was confused if i gave her the correct amount or not.However,Bernita claimed that I owed an additional R50, which I paid. I became suspicious when I realized that Bernita had received a total of R1600 (R1550 + R50) but still insisted that I had only given her R1500.

After completing the transaction, I checked my wallet and discovered that I was missing R100. I immediately returned to the store and approached Bernita, explaining the situation and asking her to recount the money I had given her. Unfortunately, Bernita denied any wrongdoing and insisted that I had only given her R1500.

I believe that Bernita has taken R100 from me, and I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter further. I would like to request a review of the security footage and a thorough investigation into Bernita's handling of my transaction.
