Absolutely disgusting!

I visited Food *****s Market in the Access Park in Kenilworth on the 26th of May 2018 and I can safely say, after each visit getting progressively worse, I will now never set foot in this shop again.

I started my shopping and already smelled something rotten when I packed “fresh” vegetables into my trolley. I thought I found the bad it was clearly still in my trolley, and it’s impossible to see completely into the bags. I made my way through the shop to find the floor of the meat section covered in cardboard boxes to soak up water and who knows what else. I finished my shopping and made my way to the till. I rang everything through and picked up the last item in my trolley, a 5kg pocket of gem squash. A gem squash at the bottom of the pocket was completely hollowed out, with clear teeth marks that can only be from a rat!! The security guard got me a new one, but I was already completely disgusted, unfortunately, it was too late as everything had gone through by this point.

During the next week at home, I’ve thrown away 2 butternuts, 1,5kg of carrots, 6 oranges and 3 onions, all rotten! This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself for selling this to the public as “fresh produce”! The quality is appalling, quality checking is clearly of no concern to anyone at the store, and hygiene is nonexistent. I wouldn’t even feed farm animals the vegetables you sell in your store.

I’ll be sure to spread the word to all my neighbours to save them a fortune on wasted food and probably a few doctor’s visits too.
