****ming on Purpose
These people are ****mers, they dont appropriately inform people that these phones are rentals. What is absolutely disgusting is the fact that they target people from the low socio economic status who are not entirely informed about their consumer rights and the right questions to ask. They will direct you to a link or sms. These terms should be verbally stated to customers on the onset.

FoneYam is a rental contract which requires you to pay the initial payment (upfront payment + the first payment 7 days later), and a further 12 monthly payments.
The payment terms and product terms and conditions are disclosed to and accepted by customers during the application process.
Kindly note that if the device is damaged, lost, ******, or destroyed, you will remain liable for the outstanding payments as per your rental agreement. Alternatively, you may cancel your contract earlier by giving us 20 business days' notice. In such an event, a reasonable cancellation penalty will be payable. The value for early cancellation has been shared with you.
