Foneyami is ****ming customers
I went to buy a phone at Pep store on contract and asked a copy of the contract agreement. The shop was fully so they promised to email me a copy. I paid for the phone and some months even paid extra so that i can finish up the contract sooner. Contacted the operator to request a statement in order to see the remaining balance and to follow up on the contract. To my dismay, i am informed that it is rental. I sent email on emails to get a copy of the contract and they are still refusing. The consultant clearly said it is a contractual purchase. Rental matters were not ever mentioned. I requested the agreement from him and it never came through, i went to look for him in December to follow-up on the contract copy and he has since gone missing. Pepcell would not even assist. I have incurred so much unnecessary expense on something that is not even legally mine. They are refusing to refund my extra excessive payments i made and they blocked the phone.

FoneYam is a rental contract which requires customers to pay the initial payment (upfront payment + the first payment 7 days later), and a further 12 monthly payments.
The payment terms and product terms and conditions were disclosed to and accepted by you during the application process.
As per the terms and conditions, we provide the following options:
1. At the end of the rental period, subject to all payments having been received, customers have the first option to purchase the device at fair market value.
2. At the end of the rental period customers may return the device.
Alternatively, customers may also exercise their right to early cancellation of the rental contract, subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.
