Foneyam ****, *****ing Pep stores with their shenanigans
Foneyam representative approached me while I was window shopping at a pep stores. Offered me a smart phone worth of R3200, provide d I pay a R1200 deposit/ initiation fee then balance could be settled over 6 months.
I'm now told it's 13months contract. I'm going to make sure this gets to Eugene the CEO.

FoneYam is a rental contract which requires customers to pay the initial payment (upfront payment + the first payment 7 days later), and a further 12 monthly payments.
The payment terms and product terms and conditions were disclosed to and accepted by you during the application process.
As per the terms and conditions, we provide the following options:
1. At the end of the rental period, subject to all payments having been received, customers have the first option to purchase the device at fair market value.
2. At the end of the rental period customers may return the device.
Alternatively, customers may also exercise their right to early cancellation of the rental contract, subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.
Your rental contract query was resolved and rental terminated on the 15 August 2024.
