FONE YAM IS A ****
I tool a phone on the 26.th April 2024...paid first deposit of R1109.00 then made second payment of R221.94(of which they did not tell me about) then further went on to pay monthly installment of R424.10 from May 2024.I am no longer working and I have called in at the call centre countless times for assistance as to how can they advise me moving forward...what passes me off is that all.this while from the first day I took and.paid the deposit for the phone,I was told I'm buying the phone by one of their agents only to find that I'm renting it...why would I rent a ****en phone.Thats not all...the value of this phone is R3699.00 however I need to pay R4242.10 for 12 months...now why the he'll would I pay more than what the value of the phone is worth...this is crazy...thisnis nonsense.This is a whole **** and you are making us take these phones under false pretense.I want my money back...and they can take their phone back.

FoneYam is a rental contract which requires customers to pay the initial payment (upfront payment + the first payment 7 days later), and a further 12 monthly payments.
The payment terms and product terms and conditions are disclosed to and accepted by customers during the application process.
As per the terms and conditions, we provide the following options:
1. At the end of the rental period, subject to all payments having been received, customers have the first option to purchase the device at fair market value.
2. At the end of the rental period customers may return the device.
Alternatively, customers may also exercise their right to early cancellation of the rental contract, subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.
