I am so angry I don't even know where to start. A total ****. I am taking this to the ombudsman. You sell this under the pretence of it being a payment plan only to find out it's a rental plan for 12 months.

FoneYam is a rental contract which requires customers to pay the initial payment (upfront payment + the first payment 7 days later), and a further 12 monthly payments.
The payment terms and product terms and conditions are disclosed to and accepted by customers during the application process.
As per the terms and conditions, we provide the following options:
1. At the end of the rental period, subject to all payments having been received, customers have the first option to purchase the device at fair market value.
2. At the end of the rental period customers may return the device.
Alternatively, customers may also exercise their right to early cancellation of the rental contract, subject to a reasonable cancellation fee.
We noticed that you have paid the cancel and keep amount on 17 August 2024. Your rental contract has been paid in full and terminated.
We have reached out to you telephonically and you confirmed that your query was successfully resolved.
