We have been on a phone calls back and forth about the conditions of the contract l took up which was wrongfully explained to me and now they say l either paying off the phone or return it pay off approximately R2300 and if am to return the phone l must pay roughly R350 all they are offering is an apology for the misleading information l got from their sales rep. To add salt to the wound l paid an upfront R1000 which according to their sales rep was to be subtracted from the total amount owed however they claim it was a rental fee and it won’t be subtracted from the total amount owing l take it it was just a donation to them l have never heard of an upfront payment which is not deducted from the total amount owing this is day light *******
I paid 1000 up front which was deducted from the total amount owing l have a till slip to prove this my instalment we supposed to be R235 monthly for 12 months. However l received a phone call starting that my instalment is now R410 l disputed this and they blocked my phone l was forced to pay the amount of R410 while l seeked clarity l only got all the information l have now after l wrote on this platform otherwise my previous phone calls with foniyam were addressed by their rude consultants. What’s sad is that one of their options is to return the device and pay on top of the money l have already paid which is R2422 including the R1000 they said is just an amount you paid l wonder to which charity organisation it goes to according to my records l owe foneyam R922 but they say for me to keep the phone l must pay roughly R2300 l didn’t sign up for a R3300 phone for twice the amount worse still decisions were made for me after l received the phone and harsh conditions are being imposed on me to corner me to pay which l have been doing l can’t anymore l can not be paying approximately 6000 for a 3300 phone. Had they sold the phone to me starting that 1000 is just a donation l wouldn’t have agreed to such. Am quite sure am not the only one going through this. Customers are being ******* into signing wrong contracts by foneyam sales reps because they get paid on commission that is not fair someone from foneyam needs to account for this
