Order placed 2304 , never recieved

I first came across this site on Facebook. It seemed very well put together and fairly convincing. I browse the site and see a few things I liked etc. I proceeded to place an order and send in all documents required for monthly installments. They tell me they have approved me for a 24-month contract. I made the payment on the 27th of Feb 2020 for the amount of R1800. They James Palmer (so-called manager) Stated that he had received payment and will put the order out for delivery. I haven't heard from them since, no emails or nothing. I contact them via WhatsApp and I get left on read or no reply. I contacted them after a while to find out what's going on. He finally answers and says "we are piled up with orders, and our courier services aren't managing well so we've decided to change" He then stated that in order to receive my goods i need to pay another R200 to have it couriered to cpt.I then informed him that would it be possible to have someone collect instead of couriering it and me paying more. They said its fine, they just need to bring a copy of your ID and their ID as well. I have asked a friend of mine to collect it for me since they claimed they are based at "unit 26 ,The Yard , Auckland Park ,Johannesberg " he didn't seem to have a problem with it . I have had many individuals message "them" and they have given the same address. Whats funny is it's like once they know you have made payment you get ignore but once they see potential customers/targets they respond immediately. I have the full chat transcript, im even considering going to the police. I have emails, screens shots as well. What's weird is that once they've gotten what they wanted they would then just abandon everything (site, phone number used to chat on WhatsApp) but they have not. I don't know what to make of it because I still wonder why one would go to such an extent to create a ****.

Im still currently awaiting for my friend to collect the "items" but i will provide further details when he provides an outcome.
