I recently tried to buy a laptop with FoneChoice which is a devision of HomeCoice. I placed the order with one of their customer service representatives and explained to her that I might not be available to receive the parcel directly and asked her if I can leave a copy of my ID with someone else and they can deliver to that person, the representative said that is fine and I gave her the name and cellphone number of the person who will receive on my behalf. Later in the week I received a call from the delivery company and I told them I had made an agreement with FoneChoice to have someone receive on my behalf and the delivery person said that they cannot do that, I have to be present. The delivery guy ended up returning with the laptop. I then called FoneChoice to ask them about this and the lady I spoke to said she will talk to her superiors and will get back to me, this was on a Friday and they never got back to me. On Saturday I called FoneChoice to let them know I don't want the laptop anymore as the agreement I had made with the lady who had helped me with the order was not adhered to. I specifically asked them to cancel the order and ask the delivery company to return the laptop back to FoneChoice, the representative said that is fine she is canceling the order. I then received a call from FoneChoice three weeks later asking about a laptop that was sitting at their depot and waiting for delivery and was asked of I still wanted it, I told the guy that I had already canceled that order and that I don't want the laptop. He said okay he will remove it from their system. This all happened towards the end of May 2019. Today I see a debit order on my bank for FoneChoice and I am wondering what it is for. This debit order I cannot reverse on my cellphone banking app which means that I will have to go the the bank to do this reversal which will in turn charge me an exorbitant amount of money for doing the reversal. This is inconvenient for me because I had canceled this order on two different occasions yet FoneChoice system still deducted my money. This is not good customer service as I will be losing money by reversal. Can FoneChoice please be let all their representatives know about the protocol for delivery because the lady who helped me place an order said someone else can receive on my behalf whereas the other two I spoke to said according to protocol that is not supposed to happen, this miscommunication is now affecting me and my money and I don't think that is good business.
