I have an account with Fonechoice for the lpatop and printer I baught from them. The account is more than a year old. I have been using this laptop for everything including internet banking as well as general internet and Google.
Yesterday I tried to log in as usual to do my banking and also access my Gmail both sides could not open got an error message saying the sides were either temporarily off or not working.
I left this yesterday and tried again today but still got the error. messages. I then called them and spike to a lady by the name of Layadha this wad around 9:38 this morning. I was on the phone with her for almost an hour. I am writing this review because I am so angry and frustrated because whay she told me was that the laptop can be picked up from my home checked as it us still under warranty however there could also be a possibility that an insurance claim can be lodged where I would have to pay the excess.
I asked why would Fonechoice go the route of the insurance claim instead of using the warranty that is still in place in this case I will not be asked to pay the excess she said this is thier policy. My question is as thier customer who is still under warranty why not use that instead of the insurance she kept on referring to the policy.
I do not have the excess that will be required why cant they use the warranty where I do not have to pay anthing as this is included in my minthly installment already? She just kept on going back to the insurance route.
Based on her answers she advised me that she cannot book this request on her system in order to get someone to come and fetch the laptop and take it to thier officess to be check. She said she can only book it if I agree to the insurance way. Why and why am I forced to agree to something that is going to require me to pay excess when there is amother solution? Why are we forced to pay when we alreafy pay for all of these monthly when we pay the instalment.
I told her that I will reverse the debit order when it comes through because I feel this is not working for me. I am still under warranty why pay?????
This is a *******. This is my 1st claim or issue ever since I baught the laptop.
Thier policies are only designed to enrich them not to look after consumers.
