Best in the business and NON-DELIVERY!

My mom ordered and started her monthly payments for a Tablet 2 years ago. She was rather excited at being able to keep up with the grandchildren and upon receipt asked them to help her get set up. They did so and eagerly she started to use her tablet......for about 4 hours until the battery stopped and on charge it went. Calls would drop and the tablet would just shut down. Input of information was near impossible due to the fact that the Tablet would also just shut down at the most crucial point.

A call was made to Fonechoice to tell them that the Tablet was faulty. It took numerous calls to try and get hold of cutomer care and mom was beginning to think that it was ficticious. Eventually a response was achieved and off it went to Fonechoice via their courier service RTT. The standard of service and speed of delivery here is non-existant and after approximately 5 months of arranging collection and delivery the Tablet was eventually returned.

On delivery the Tablet had decided that it now only had a black screen and spoke only chinese on the rare occasion that the screen worked. Mom took the tablet to a friend who is a computor whiz. He told her to return the tablet as it now had a software problem. She called Fonechoice and after another delay of a few months the tablet was eventually collected August last year.

Since then she has not received the tablet. Daily emails and unanswered calls eventually sparked a reaction for delivery. We informed them that she was momentarily staying with us as she had hurt her leg and needed assistance. We gave them the new address for delivery and were assured that delivery would take place at our home. Well 2 weeks later we got a call that the tablet was on its way to the old delivery address. Of course the ID Book and owner of the tablet would not be there so the tablet was sent back to the warehouse to await delivery to the correct address.

Well someone got confused and sent the tablet back to Cape Town and after a few weeks and more emails, a Fonechoice consultant called to say that due to the delay, a brand new tablet would be sent to her as a way of apology for the inconvenience. (Please note that this is now a full year after the second collection.)

Mom was excited as she had by this time decided to give the tablet to her granddaughter who was turning 16. Please note that we are now in August and the table has now been paid off. Once again RTT was given the incorrect address and no tablet arrived.

Contacting the Fonechoice agent on his cell, a promise was made by Jan that he would sort out the mess. Many calls and frustration and more calls and emails and still no tablet and no response from Fonechoice or RTT.

On the 22 August there was great excitement as mom received a sms to say that she was scheduled for delivery from Fonechoice and that an RTT concultant would call. On the same day she received an sms to say that her tablet had been booked for collection.

There is no doubt in my mind that

a) Fonechoice is an unreliable company that make promises that they do not keep.

b) You are unable to contact them when needed as they do not respond to their email ********** or phone calls to their customer care no: 0 ********** 22

c) When you do get in touch, the relevant consultant will do what is necessary to pacify you and to get you off the line. If this does not work then the call is dropped. This will be the end of that!

d) RTT Fonechoice division are cut from the same cloth, from a) to c). Their manager by name of Jan who gives you his cell no. ********** answered twice and now simply never answers and refuses to return calls on messages let.

I do NOT recommend Fonechoice to anyone .....oh yes....still no Tablet.....still no response!
