YOUR SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON YOUR INCOME! Wait What???
FMI... Except for a 1 star review the only thing I can tell you is utterly disgusted! The reason I have taken out income protection is exactly for that reason! When I Cannot work I need my income as I am self employed. I was informed today after I had to phone your claims department that in fact you were open on the 24th and closed at 12:00? What was the reason then for not answering my emails or calls from the 23rd? Not once was I informed of your holiday closure, after a personal message via an Ashleigh from Steve Piper I was promised that this will be handled as a priority on the 4th which is today... I also phoned Steve Piper today, no answer... Would I have received a call from FMI if I did not phone? To date I have not received any feedback... The only non priority response I get is you will receive a response within 2-3 working days... That is most definitely not a priority. I personally followed up with the Dr to find out how far they are with the forms on the 15th, to which they rep****... We have not received anything.. Where I went and personally sent them the forms. If I knew you were closing the 23rd...I would have put more pressure on the Dr or followed up earlier th
We have no excuses and apologise profusely.
We acknowledge that there is no evidence of notifying you about our shutdown period. Even if you were notified, we should have made an effort to finalise your claim on the 23rd Dec when your documents were received or at the very least contacted you immediately.
On the 4th January, your claim was finalised and a payment was made. However, we apologise again that you were not contacted immediately on that day to advise you of the progress.
We will take the learning from this case moving forward so that it is not repeated.
