To whom it may concern,

I arrived at Lanseria half an hour (32 minutes to be exact) before my flight FA303 back home to Cape Town on Sunday 02.10.16 (reason was that traffic was a nightmare from where I started the trip to the airport, and I'm not from Johannesburg), and I was denied boarding. I only had hand luggage and pleaded nicely with the FlySafair staff at the check-in counter, and at the sales counter, but there was no effort made whatsoever to help a passenger in a dire situation, with plenty of time to spare, at a small airport. I was forced to buy another flight for the next morning, at R2000, and arrange an extra night's stay in Johannesburg. I know I was 8 minutes late, but I only had hand luggage and can't understand why I couldn't be helped as a fellow human being. I felt like a ********, and had to pay the price for it - That's no way to treat your "valued" customers. During the next morning's flight I also noticed that there were many late passengers who were allowed to board on the Monday morning, which made me wonder if it's not just a way for airlines to squeeze more money out of the flyers. So, no, I will not be recommending the FlySafair experience any time soon.

Peter

Ps. I wish I could give a zero rating here.
