We paid for PRIORITY boarding yet my 65-year-old mom with walking disabilities was refused to board the flight

I am extremely distressed that my mom (who is a pensioner - ID number will be provided if necessary) and I were refused entry onto Flight FA 201 on 30/11/2021 departing at 08:50 from Cape Town to O.R. Tambo. I was told that I would receive feedback from my initial complaint but it is now 3 months and I have resorted to Hello Peter. I gave them enough time to respond.

WE HAD ALREADY CHECKED IN. I had even checked in online and we had gotten through security. With my mom being a pensioner and having difficulty walking quickly, we got to the boarding gate SLIGHTLY before it closed. However, we had ALREADY gotten through security in time (the time stamp should be there)? I understand that people miss their flights when they have NOT gotten through security, however your system would've picked up that we were already through. We could even see the aircraft and the boarding bridge was still in place.

I have travelled on several other airlines before and never have I experienced such DISGUSTING behaviour. I have been on aircrafts where the pilot had to actually announce that they are waiting for a few more passengers because they knew they had already checked-in. FlySafair won't last long if people are disgusted on such a regular basis. The staff were extremely rude when we tried to re-book flights.

This brings me to another serious issue. My mom got the standby seat back to O.R. Tambo however I had to wait without any guarantee and had no choice but to take the flight to Lanseria. That airport is 80km from where we are based whereas O.R. Tambo is much closer. Having to travel back from Lanseria was not only costly but CAUSED SERIOUS PROBLEMS FOR ME AT WORK because of the many hours I missed.

I've been on Kulula flights where other passengers boarded late and I've even left London on a BRITISH AIRWAYS flight where I was seriously delayed because of the underground trains. Still, they could see that I had checked in and didn't enforce such despicable behaviour.

FlySafair is only concerned with money as I suspect that our seats were given to two other passengers at the earliest chance (so that more money comes in from all the penalties or worse, complete re-booking which costs thousands). Once again, I can understand if we didn't make it through security but we were there. We were there a few minutes after the gate closed.

Besides the distress caused to my mom (who struggles to travel alone), the amount of time and money that was lost by me should be taken into account. If reparations of some sort are considered, we may think more positively about your airline but for now, we are disgusted with the treatment your staff has given us.
