Treatment of disabled passengers by FlySafair is appalling.

I’ve just read an article about how FlySafair treated Eastern Cape Deaf Rugby players and thought it best to also let it be known how they treated me as a partially disabled individual. 15 October 2025i flew from ELS to Joburg ( BR275Y, seat 6E). I am partially disabled and requested assistance to get to the aircraft. I can climb stairs and get to my seat by myself.

The person who was supposed to assist me to the aircraft walked past me about 4 or5 times, knowing fully well that I needed assistance as the gentleman at the check in counter had advised her as such right in front of me. She even specifically told me where to wait for her. I missed boarding time while she was still walking around, skirting around my luggage. She never assisted me and I had to ask the security guard at the security gate for assistance. As a person who needs assistance, I’m supposed to board first. I was the last person to board, after the captain had announced to the entire aircraft that they were waiting for one. Passenger to board then they would leave. Imagine my embarrassment when I boarded- every one was looking at me as the person who delayed their y. . I limped to my seat under disapproving looks. It’s hard enough t having people either stare or completely ignore me as a disabled person , I could have done without the embarrassment caused by FlySaf on the day FlySafair staff forgot about me and I was the last passenger to board insteaof the firsts. No apologies, nothing from the airline. I called 3 or 4 times to complain and am yet to hear from them ( today is 12 November 2025). This morning, the first news article I read is about t how this ****ty airline treated the 3 Eastern Cape Deaf Rugby players. If I could give them a quarter of a star as a rating, I would.
