Total disregard for the inconvenience FlySafair may be causing passengers

I have only ever received bad service from the airline.

02/12/2021: We arrived in Cape Town at 21h35, went to the baggage carousel to get our bags, and were informed that we had to wait as our bags had been loaded onto the following flight.

06/12/2021: My suitcase was destroyed and the handle was ********** when I retrieved my luggage from the carousel at OR Tambo. Over three months passed before they finally paid out after we processed a claim.

25/01/2022: When I arrived at OR Tambo to check in, I was informed that the aircraft was overbooked and that, regrettably, it was the final flight of the evening. Despite the fact that we had already made arrangements for transportation, hotel reservations, etc. in Cape Town. They granted us a R1000.00 refund and said we may leave the next morning. We had nowhere to go at that time (21h00), and it was challenging to find accommodations in the region for less than R1000.00. I was dropped off by a family member, and now I had to figure out how I was going to make the long drive home. Eventually, after much commotion and yelling, the airline intervened and made a few calls to book us a hotel for R985.00.

After that, we made the decision to never use them again, and only flew with Lift where we received impeccable service, but regrettably, due to the limited flights for this weekend, FlySafair was the only airline that had seats available to travel from Cape Town to Pretoria.

28/07/2022: Just as the flight started to take off, they noticed a technical issue. After a hour and a half of sitting on the airplane, they decided to do a aircraft swop. Although I can appreciate that these events are unanticipated and uncalled for, the manner in which these situations are being handled, by the aircraft, is absurd to say the very least. The lack of concern for their passengers, failure to recognize that they are losing business, and the unquestionably disregard for the inconvenience they may be causing to others.

I will never make use of this airline again.
