They overbook flights- Disorganized!

FlySafair is the worst airline ever. How do you overbook a flight? How does the system even allow that? I am now on the side looking like a maniac when I booked prior only to be told I can't get on my original flight because I don't have a seat. Like it can't get any worse that this honestly.
