Theft on flight - FA205: 19H00, CT to JHB

I am very disappointed on flysafairs lack of interest in solving the problem that i encountered during a flight with them to jhb last week.

I send their helpline an e-mail which they never bothered to respond to. I then went into their FB page and they refered me back to the lousy call centre thats unmanned as it never answered and to the same helpline e-mail. Once they finally respond, they basically put all the blame on me and practically told me that without their "insurance " there is not much they can do...pathetic service

I want to know when will you actually start with the investigation as it's clear that the are moles *****ing from passengers thus making us lose faith in the carrier.

I Eugenia Carlos, would like to formally lay a complain against flysafair as a carrier, the staff at flight FA205 to jhb ,Friday @19h00 and the staff working the late shift at OR Tambo ticket sale on Friday the 20th of October. I was ****** of R500.00, $20 and an unknown amount of coins out of my in-flight carry-on that was forcefully taken from me after knowing that there were valuables.

The hostess insisted on taking my smaller then 56cm and less the 7kg carry-on from me due to people carrying more then they are allowed and nobody cared. I had no check-in luggage nor did i have any other bags with me, but still i had to be forced to give it in. After getting to my destination, i found that the money on my carry on was ******...even after i told the hostess that i had valuables in my bag she took it and reassured me more than twice that all my belongings were safe and that all my things would be returned to me. That promise was not kept.

I went to jhb ticket sales after arrival to report what had just happened . They were closing and treated me like a ******** instead. They even went as far as to tell me that it wont help to open a case as i should know better than to put money in my bag...after all it was a carry-on that comp**** with all the conformities and that was forcefully removed from me even knowing that i had valuable inside....they gave me a silly call centre number to call and said the problem is with the baggage handlers and they work for Swissport and not flysafair. They told me that i would only be able to report on Monday as they are closed and managers dont work on Sunday. the number the gave me just rang endlessly.

I once again tried to report it Sunday afternoon once i returned to Cape Town at tickets sales. The lady gave me the complaints email address and she took a copy of the paper they gave me in jhb and my boarding pass and said will send it through to complaints but not sure if it will help as it might be too late to report...***!!!

And now you guys still have the nerve to send me an e-mail to rate your services when i had the most horrifying experience both in ctp and jhb. I was aready at my lowest as i was flying out to bury a family member and to top it up they ***** from me, leaving me even more down and stranded.

I would like for someone to please take this matter up and investigate as it seems like we as customers and our belongings are not safe in your hands as nobody seem to care.

I will not let this go so easily. ..as you guys added to my pain, distress and made me feel worthless. Just one more customer who has been ******, so what? Who care? Let her complaint and it will fall on deaf ears as always. ....no wonder they are not scared of *****ing as there is no reprocations. They know of the ********** experience the passenger will have to go through in reporting and eventually giving up.
