? Theft of lost property

I left a pair of designer prescription spectacles in the seat-pocket on a Safair flight from Cape Town to Durban on the 20th October. I contacted Safair in Durban and they informed me that the spectacles matching my description had been found where I said I had left them and that they had been logged on their system and sent to the Johannesburg lost and found office for safekeeping. I then asked a friend of mine who was traveling via ORT to see if she could pick them up for me. When she arrived at ORT she spoke to Seekoe at Safair ticket sales who contacted Judy at Bonaero Park where their lost and found department is. Judy in turn confirmed that my spectacles were in her possession and that they could be collected 3 days later at Safairs ticket sales office at ORT. When my friend arrived at the office 3 days later for her return flight, no-one knew where the spectacles were. I then phoned Judy directly and she informed me that the person with the safe keys where my spectacles were being kept was away and they could not access them. After logging the lost property on Safairs website a week later I was called by Judy again who now informed me that my spectacles had gone missing and they would ïnvestigate". I suspect that they have in all likelihood likely been ****** and I would like to know from Safair what they are going to do about this. Although these were a pair of prescription spectacles, the frames were very expensive and have been lost as direct consequence of Safairs negligence.
