The real reason why FlySafair is the top domestic carrier.

With the end of the pandemic almost in sight, Johannesburg International Airport will see more and more international tranfers going through the airport. This creates the problem that if you have a long layover, and have to recheck your bag, Domestic airlines need to be open to accepting the bags earlier than they are used to because it is impractical and such a hassle to wait around to check your bag.

Shout out to FlySafair for training their employees to be adaptable and open minded when it comes to these policies. After travelling for 36 hours, I was distraught when the staff member told me that their policy is to only accept bags 3 hours before the flight.

After explaining my situation, she showed simpathy for my situation and adaptable to my specific circumstances. I was elated and would recommend that all employees act in this way. I did not get her name, but hope that she is promoted rather than reprimanded for this behavior.
