TERRIBLE service!
I will NEVER be booking a flight with FlySAFAIR again.
I changed my flights in March last year when Covid lockdowns were announced but because I made the change before the actual lockdown (even though my flights would have fallen in the lockdown period), I don't qualify for any of the Covid flight change benefits. I have forfeited R700 on this booking already and have now been told that if I want a refund, I will need to pay a 45% penalty. I tried to get a refund on my voucher and while in the process, it told me that I would get 20% off my next booking if I used the voucher to pay for it, so I decided to keep the voucher and tried to book the flight (which I was going to book through Kulula). No 20% off app****. Called the call-centre and was informed that I need to enter the promo code AT THE BEGINNING of the booking. Cancel booking, go to home page. Start again. Add promo code. Redo entire booking. Enter voucher number (from flight cancellation) told that the voucher number is not compatible with the promo code. Phone the call center (3rd time today and don't EVEN get me started on how ridiculously difficult it is to speak to a human and not just get your call cut off) and am told that the 20% off that I was told I could get was not actually going to apply to my flights because I got the voucher outside of the timeframe for the promo code. Back to the website. Now I'm over it and know that EVEN with the 45% penalty that I will incur, (bringing me to a total of R2700 in forfeited value) it will STILL be R1300 cheaper to book the flights with Kulula using the 55% cash refund for the exact same dates and with the same benefits. Request the refund and it says that there was an error and it could not be completed, but now the vouchers have a "Cancelled" status on the website, meaning that they haven't been refunded but I also can't use them. Call the Call Center for the 4th time this morning to be told that the flight wasn't actually supposed to be refundable, but seeing as I was given the option on the website, they will refund it (minus 45% of the value). They're not entirely sure what the process is now, or how long it will take, but it's in motion.
