**Terrible Experience with FlySafair on East London - Cape Town Route**

I recently had a horrible experience with FlySafair, and it feels like they’re taking advantage of passengers, especially since they’re the only airline operating between East London and Cape Town.

On 30/09/2024, I was booked for the 15:10 flight from East London to Cape Town, traveling with a small check-in bag that I’ve used countless times as hand luggage on this exact route. I even made sure the bag met their specific requirements. However, the gate agents were adamant that I needed to check in the bag, causing me to miss the flight. As a result, my husband and I were forced to pay over R1000 to rebook on the next flight!

To make matters worse, when I flew from Cape Town to East London, they charged me an extra R350, claiming the same bag was suddenly too big—despite having used it before without any issues. It’s absurd!

FlySafair is clearly exploiting people on this route because they have no competition. Their inconsistent policies and blatant disregard for loyal customers are sickening. They’re ripping people off, and it’s unacceptable.
