Shocking service from Safair after luggage was damaged

I am shocked by the service received by FlySafair to say the least. On Sunday, 5 March 2023, I was on flight FA-296 from Jhb to Cpt. Due to the fact that I was travelling with fragile gift sets, I booked a business class ticket that allowed for additional luggage so that I could check in 2 bags of 23 kg and "sports equipment" of 35 kg. On check-in I was informed that because the "sports equipment" was 2 boxes (although it was way less than 35kg in total), I had to pay for additional luggage. I could not do this on the website and had to go and que at the counter, where only one agent was working. All 4 pieces on luggage was marked with the Safair fragile stickers. On arrival in Cpt, I found my two suitcases on the carousel - both broken and unusable. The boxes was collected at oversize luggage - both boxes was soaking wet and it was very clear that one box was dropped. I immediately went to the Safair luggage counter to report this, just to be told that one has to report this online. Why have someone working at a counter, just to tell you that they cannot help and you need to do this online? I then used the Safair WhatsApp number to get assistance and was send from pilar to post without any clear answers by an agent (Mishka Dullabh). Every time I tried to get answers she simply ended the conversation. On opening the dropped box, there was a lot of broken gifts that had to be re-ordered and couriered to Cpt at a massive cost. On Monday, 6 March 2023 I once again tried to contact Safair on the whatsapp number and got some guidance from Motshidiso Moepi that excalated this to the claims department. I was send various forms to complete and then had to run around in Cpt in between work to get this stamped by the police (you only get 24 hours to do this). The forms was submitted and send to Chubb insurance for the claim. I was also told that luggage is being handled by a third party and that this is not a Safair problem. Travel insurance was taken out through Safair, how can this not be your problem? I have heard nothing since this was send to Chubb Insurance and had to travel home with broken luggage, heavily wrapped to prevent my clothes being scattered all over the airport. This morning, I called Chubb Insurance to find out what is going on. All off their numbers have an answering machine message that states "Johannesburg reception is not available at this time" and then the phone disconnect. So who's responsibility is this? Surely Safair cannot claim ignorance and not care about their passengers and luggage. Now they are simply ignoring my emails - beware Safair customers - do not trust them with your property even if this is handled by Airports Company, they also have a responsibility.
