Shifting Blame

I traveled on Flysafair recently for the first time, not by choice. Their ground staff took my carry on luggage which they did not want me to take into the cabin. It is a brand new piece of luggage and it appears that they threw the bag whilst leaving the handle in the upright position which caused it to break.

They now claim that it was not any fault of theirs as the bag was handled by airport staff and others. My problem is, I was happy to take the bag with me, their staff took the bag from me only to have it damaged and now claim that it is of no fault of theirs.

I assure you I'd rather pay a little more than travel with this airline.
