SHABBY AND SHAMEFUL SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE
What a shame. One of our so called proudly South African airlines behaving in an abominable fashion towards one of our most outstanding and impactful NPOs about which we have very much to be proud. An airticket originally booked to fly down a board member to attend a strategy session was requested to be changed without penalty because the facilitator of that session was called upon to attend an unavoidable compassionate leave event for a close friend overseas. When requested by the NPO for the change penalty to be waived the response - although proclaiming to be appreciative of the NGO's important work (which, by the way is educating and empowering tens of thousands of young people's lives every year in South Africa) went on to say - and I quote - "Regrettably we are only able to waive penalties within 24 hours of the booking being created." What *******! The airline is able to do whatever they choose to do, they just can't be bothered. What incredibly poor customer service. I certainly will never fly SAFAIR again.
