Safair Travel insurance is a ****

I booked a flight with Safair and noticed they have travel insurance in case of cancellation. That's all that is mentioned on their offer. I pay for the tickets and unfortunately the reason for flying changes so I need to cancel and use the insurance. I call Safair who tell me I can claim separately for the insurance from Toptravel-SA. I call them and they ask me for the reason I need to cancel. I explain to them and their responce is "you dont qualify". Shocked I enquire as to why I dont qualify. The attendant then tells me I should have read the policy document which clearly states I can only receive a refund for illness or death in my personal family. Well that was a shock since I received no policy document at any stage and the policy was just a "tick the box" choice while checking out to pay for the ticket. Safair should specify the specific perameters of the insurance as their presentation is highly misleading.
