SAFAIR staff rude and *********** - Durban

Durban staff were absolutely rude and just plain dismissive.

We had an issue with our boarding experience when returning to JHB from a funeral in DBN.

My father had a hip replacement done around 2 months ago, so still uses his crutch to improve his mobility. This lady refused to let him board, something to do with the crutch being on the plane. My sister then offered to take the crutch with her, and my father was forced to walk onto the plane without a crutch. Still allowed to sit in the emergency isle seating, but my sister had to move to another row with the crutch going into the overhead lockers.

SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS LOGIC TO ME??!????!!!! Surely if there's an issue with mobility at the emergency isle, then my father would be moved to another row and not my sister. What is the point of paying extra for pre-booking preferred seats if this is the attitude of the staff at boarding time?

Needs be mentioned that we had ZERO issues boarding in JHB under the exact same circumstances, and the crew at the boarding gates and onboard the plane were extremely accommodating towards my father.
