SafAir do not care about their clients
On 02-Apr-19 i wrote the following email to SafAir: I booked a flight for my wife to leave on 10-Mar and return 12-Mar. Unfortunately my wife got sick and did not make the flight. I then shifted the date to a future date (14 to 15-Apr-19) in order to not lose the ticket and paid the additional fee.
I wanted to change the ticket to 10-Apr-19, but am now required to pay an additional R400, but the math does not add up.
This is what I paid to date: R3,296 Change name on ticket cost: R300 Admin Fee: R100 Actual cost of ticket on 02-Apr-19: R2,398
This means that SafAir actually owes me a refund of R498. Instead, SafAir wanted me to pay the additional fees of R400.
As a regular client I felt like I’m being ********** by SafAir and request that they waive the additional cost in light of the math above.
I received no response and sent them an email again on 09-Apr-19 and eventually started communicating on WhatsApp. Because of the delay in response from SafAir, the cost to me was now R1,351 + R300.
Final response received via WhatsApp is: "We do apologize for the delayed in response we are currently having a high Whatsapp volume so we are trying to attend to each query efficiently. Its not that we do not care we are explaining the policies that come with the ticket. Unfortunately we will not be able to discount the airfare difference as this is not possible."
