Safair cannot give a refund or voucher for flights I did not use

I bought a return flight from Cape Town to Jhb for my friend Brian. Ref numbers: XTQMHB and JCJQUE.

Unfortunately Brian has fell ill and could not make it down to me. I called safair immediately to cancel the flight. To be told I cannot get a refund. I can get 50% back if can provide a doctor's certificate. My friend does not have money to go to the doctor. Hence the fact why I bought him a ticket. I also rebooked new flights for my other mate to come down. Travel starts Ref: ZA ********** 8 Now to be told I can even get a refund or a voucher for Safair for my next flights. I also emailed Thulisile Mthimunye a few times which I still have had no response back from her and had to keep on calling. I am not happy at all with the service and response I had back for the refun. If someone has the flu and is ill does not mean they have to go to the doctor. All other airlines you can cancel flights and get refund. Why cant you with Safair. If I do not get some sort of refund or voucher I will never use Safair again or recommend your airline to anyone.
