****** BY FLYSAFAIR - BE CAREFUL!!!

Be very careful when booking flights with FlySafair. I booked and was told the two tickets to Cape Town would cost a total of R4 646.00 which was made up of R3 678.26 for Air Fares; R104.36 for prebooked seats = R2782.62 + R567.38 VAT Plus they then added R110.16 for SACAA Passenger Safety and R185.84 for ACSA Passenger Service = R4 646.00. Then directly over the page from the detailed invoice, they make up the R4 646 as R4 526 + R120 credit card fee which also equals R4 646 but now made up using different references?? I received a Booking Reference and a Tax Invoice with the amount of R4 646.00. When I checked my credit card statement, the amount taken from my credit card was R5 737.58!! I immediately wrote to them (don't even try calling) and asked why the big difference and they said something about ESKY probably having charged me a fee. Who the hang is ESKY?? I had googled FlySafair and booked on that platform. So somehow between booking with FlySafair and receiving notification that the amount to be taken from my credit card would be R4 646, along came some arb person who upped that amount by R1 091.58 with absolutely no warning or info from FlySafair who I had been dealing with all along!? And certainly no input or service so I have absolutely no idea what the charge of R1 091.58 was for!!!! Now I've had to cancel those 2 tickets because the wedding we were going to has had to be postponed (for tragic reasons). FlySafair says cancellation fee is R300 per ticket which I thought was fair BUT I received a voucher for R3 446 which means that FlySafair took R1 200 off THEIR original amount - no sign of ESKY anywhere here - so in fact it's R300 per ticket per individual flight. That's a *******! So all in all, I lost R2 291.58 because I was taken for an absolute ride by FlySafair who wasn't transparent at all. So ..... my warning to you is to be VERY VERY careful when making a booking with FlySafair. Double check who you're dealing with and check what they say they are going to take from your credit card vs what actually is taken. It's blatant theft!!
